it's a great story so far.
The way you're building suspense with these panels makes me think of the way Handel started Zadok the Priest. It's working. I'm hooked.

It's a grammar thing.

This is great! Beautifully drawn, nice pacing and image progression, my only criticism is maybe the "pope with a condom on" thing. It's a little distracting, It's not a sacred cow issue, just an appropriate metaphor issue. I know you were going for an extreme comparison, but it might be something to reconsider.
I really like the replication of our perspective being focused then zooming out. Nice effect. The twist at the end was cool. I was projecting the typical wake up in some unknown bar hussy's house after binge drinking story - not the case. Very cool.
