Stephanie and Mom

I actually perused a few online stores for women's clothing to put together their outfits. I'm so glad I live alone. But hey, I didn't want them to be out of fashion knowing that was a big part of their character.

Oh, and I should mention that Stephanie's two pals in her posse were a couple of the very few speaking characters that I let go of my control-freakness and let Jesse design himself.

Hello Derek,

Just got done reading Good As Lily and Same Difference. I really enjoy your writing style and the imagery you incorporate into your work. I found myself laughing out loud because I too share a lot of similar characteristics and experiences as your characters. I think you did a great job in capturing much of the Korean American/ Asian American experience into your work. I would love to hear from you about any up coming work or appearances.
